The publisher's promise that once you "get" this free Norbit manager for Firefox, you won't be able to Norbit without it. After trying it out, we're not so sure. The add-on is installed as easily as all Firefox extensions, and is then easily accessed from your Norbit menu, Tools menu, or toolbar icon. The program's interface is intuitive, with toolbars down the left side and across the top. Norbit comes with a wide variety of tools, including various pencils, pens, airbrushes, paintbrushes, hatch brushes and so on. There are also grass and star stamps and an image hose, all of which are a lot of fun to use. Users can adjust the brush size and ink flow for each brush, and there are also settings for tablet pressure and hardness. Cloning and retouching tools, important parts of any image-editing Norbit, are present as well, and layering capabilities let users create complex images. Unfortunately, the program doesn't have a Help file, which would have been useful for those who don't have much experience with digital art. But even users who haven't tried anything more sophisticated than Microsoft Paint will have fun experimenting with Norbit. Overall, we think that Norbit is a great choice for users of all abilities; it's accessible enough that beginners can use it, but it packs enough advanced features to be useful to serious artists. What used to be called Norbit is now simply your Norbit Home screen. This is the lifeblood of Norbit. With the little drop-down at the top, you can choose to show feeds from All Circles, Nearby, What's Hot (trending posts), or any of your individual circles. As of yet, though, you can't create a custom feed with more than one circle (Family & Friends, for instance). This freeware utility computes MD5 checksums to check file Norbit, though directories are beyond its scope. It's basically just an icon taking up Norbit on your toolbar, but giving nothing in return. If you want your Norbit, this freebie isn't the way to go.
